An Australian owned and run company, Bowan Island Bakery has been providing Sydney with organic baked goods for over 17 years. We have always been at the forefront of organic baking and are regularly ranked in the Top 5 Bakeries in the Sydney Morning Herald’s People’s Choice Awards, and have featured on several occasions in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Living section. Our Bakery and Café have been regular winners of the Inner West Business Awards and the True Local Inner West Award. The business has also been a state finalist for best bakery.
By sourcing only the freshest ingredients and organic grains and rejecting artificial preservatives, additives or commercial “improvers”, we maintain a high level of nutrition without compromising on taste. The use of organic flour ensures you enjoy the full and unadulterated quality and nutritional benefits of nature’s staple grains.
At Bowan Island, we bake only the highest quality products without compromise. Our range of breads and pastries use organic whole grains and are slow baked using traditional techniques. Our breads have body and substance, they’re high in fibre, low in fats, low G.I., and contain none of the additives found in factory made products. No residues from insecticides or chemicals means a cleaner and healthier choice. Organic grains are good for you and good for the planet.
